Handspun Sock Yarn

Three ply grey alpaca (what else?) and nylon blended on my English combs. I prefer a more homogenous colour so I will attempt another sock blend on the handcarders. I so desperately need a drumcarder. The finished yarn yielded just 300 yards in 120 grams. Crappity crap. Not the yardage I was hoping for. Back to the drawing board.

Maybe not enough, but couldn't you use something else for toes & heels. It's very lovely yarn.

It looks so soft and delicious.
Thank you for the inspiration.
Happy Easter to you too.

Your alpaca/nylon will make a lovely warm pair of socks, perhaps with shorter cuffs or heels and toes from a different yarn. Personally, I enjoy the colour variation. Such beautiful skeins.
